The technology behind the cinematic style of the BBC’s Planet Earth II.
Planet Earth has been a favorite of mine since it first came out back in 2006. I’m not even a little (ok, maybe a little) embarrassed to say that I remember staying in on a Friday night years ago, surrounding a TV in the living room with friends, enthralled by David Attenborough’s narration of great white sharks breaching the water while hunting for seals in South Africa.
I was equally fascinated by all of the behind the scenes shots of how the original Planet Earth was made. I am now even more excited watching the technical side of such a laborious production with Planet Earth II (so many multi-axis gimbals!).
Now excuse me while I watch a hatchling iguana run for his life from some very hungry snakes.
Also, who do I need to get in touch with for David Attenborough to narrate my life?
